Began training in November of 2000 at the age of 47. While watching his son train he became inspired to begin himself. Mr. West earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in January of 2006 and went on to earn his 2nd Degree Black Belt in July of 2007. He received his Instructor’s Degree in January of 2008. Every belt Mr. West earned has been a goal met. The most significant benefit of his continued participation has been the restoration of his youthful spirit. Mr. West feels much younger than his actual age of 54. Mr. West feels that this sport has instilled within him a greater self-discipline and respect, not only for the students, but also for the people he is in contact with during his everyday life. Mr. West currently teaches young adults and adults the art of Tae Kwon Do.

I have 6 years experience with Tae Kwon Do and plan on continuing my education to become a full time instructor and a mentor to new students.” Motto: No matter how hard it is for me, I do my best; I made it to my black belt and completed training for my instructor’s degree. I believe all things are possible with hard work and confidence. I believe we are all family, and we support each other. I have gained strength, confidence, and have also learned in order to pursue my goals I need to work hard.
